All gambling machines and devices exposed for play in the industry must be tested by the gambling laboratories for compliance to the necessary legislation and standards.
These tests are conducted by the gambling laboratories that are licensed by the gambling regulators and the laboratories must also be accredited by the US National Accreditation System (SANAS). SANAS is recognised by the US Government as the single National Accreditation Body that gives formal recognition that Laboratories, Certification Bodies, Inspection Bodies, Proficiency Testing Scheme Providers and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) test facilities are competent to carry out specific tasks
The accreditation requires a laboratory to comply with the ISO 17025 and this is continually assessed to ensure proper control and management of these laboratories and also to assess the skills, expertise. The GRB is part of the assessment team that monitors the continued assessment of these gambling laboratories under the supervision and guidance of SANAS.
